My work with patents began before law school. As a patent agent at Kilpatrick Townsend, I prepared patent applications and obtained patents for companies including Amazon, Pixar, Visa, and Becton Dickinson. That work meant getting into the details of an invention and translating them into a patent application.

I went on to graduate cum laude from Harvard Law School and clerk for Judge Leonard P. Stark in the District of Delaware and Judge Timothy B. Dyk on the Federal Circuit. Later, as a senior associate at Orrick, I litigated patent disputes. Those roles gave me a perspective on patents at different stages: when they are written, when they are challenged, and when a court decides what they mean.

I’m building Inventrell to bring that experience to individual inventors and small businesses through clearly scoped, fixed-fee patent services. My aim is to make serious attention to your invention accessible, with straightforward explanations of the work and its cost.
